Nice little product. Comparatively small, which is what I wanted. Toasts bread evenly on both sides. Very, very lightweight--so much so that you have to hold it down when pushing the eject or stop buttons.

The cord comes out at a strange place and cannot be reconfigured. The designer, apparently, intended for the device to be placed with the long back edge along the wall--rather than perpendicular.

After reading the reviews, I was persuaded to purchase this toaster over others in this price range. I didn't want anything too fancy - toasted bread shouldn't be complicated, but this thing unfortunately makes toasting a challenge every time I use it. I call it the Bagel Burner 5000 because I have yet to perfectly toast a bagel in it since purchasing two months ago. It shows that it has 7 levels of toasting ability, but mine seems to only do slightly warm or charred beyond all reason. :( And these two options fall between setting 1 and setting 2.

When I use this toaster, I have to stand by, peering into it, monitoring the darkness of my food. Sometimes, when it appears to be toasty, I'll pop it up... and the bottom will be burnt. It's extremely frustrating - especially since the last toaster i owned was an unsightly white, $7, no-fuss gem from Wal-Mart I bought for my dorm room my freshman year of college. That bad boy lasted me five years, and was loyal until I moved and decided to "upgrade."

What a disappointment. But I spent $25, so I'll continue to babysit my toaster until I can't stand it anymore. Sigh.
