Although this is the only 3D Converter I've tried, it's perfect with Optoma's HD66.

It upconverted my color space to YCbCr in Win 7 @ 50hz, instead of the 120hz.

For some reason Cyberlink Power DVD 10 wouldn't do 3D until the AMD CCC update 11.9. The Blu-Ray 3D's were all jittery and I had almost given up. Thankfully the 3D XL makes it work and a cheaper 3D solution.

The box has to stay on or the projector turns off. It also does SBS.

I purchased the 3D-XL to go with my Qumi projector. After reading many reviews I decided to get one, I'm sooo glad I did. This thing has changed my viewing experience big time. I don't usually write reviews, but I do read a lot of them and they are very helpful. I guess this is why I'm writing one so that another customer can make a solid decision to see if they want to purchase one. If you are in the market of turning your t.v. or projector into 3D this is what you need to get. The 3D-XL comes with one pair of glasses. I haven't purchased a second pair yet (For the wife and kid because I wanted to make sure the 3D-XL would work with my system. When I saw my first 3D image on a 100" screen I was simply amazed the images looked like they were right in my face and I could touch them.
The 3D-XL is a remarkable device it does what it's suppose to I would highly recommend if this is what is missing if you want to experience 3D! Purchase and ENJOY!!!!

Only one thing I did not like about the delivery THEY LEFT IT AT MY BACKDOOR AND I WAS GONE FOR SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE I RETURNED HOME. HOPE YOU LIVE IN A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD>>

Without the 3D-XL i wouldn't be able to play High Def 3D movies from my PS3 to my projector (Optoma HD67). Or game in 3D.
Both 3D Blu-rays and SBS (Side-By-Side) files work flawlessly. There is only one alternative to this box, but i see this as the better option as it includes a pair of top quality 3D glasses, plus an additional HDMI input (total of 2) to allow multiple sources which you can switch between with a push of a button.
You must already have a "3D-ready" projector for the 3D-XL to work. "3D-Ready" just means that the picture refreshes at a 120 Hz rate as opposed to your typical 50 or 60Hz. Most PC's with an NVidia Graphics card will be able to play 3D content with a 3D ready projector without the 3D-XL, however the 3D-XL is required to use a blu-ray player or PS3 for 3D content.
I would definitely recommend this paired with a lower end 3D ready projector as a cheaper alternative to an expensive 3D projector.
